~ HARPG 2014 - Winter Ball ~

Gotta slow up, gotta shake this high
Gotta take a minute just to ease my mind
'Cause if I don't walk then I'll get caught out
And I'll be falling all the way down

I have never spent so much time on trying to make a drawing as realistic as possible as I did with this one. I worked three days on it, lost count of exactly how many hours, but there were many! I will be writing a story to this, but I have school tomorrow and need my beauty sleep now.
Anyway, I'm so excited about my Linus' first show! I love him so much, I hope to be showing him a lot when the last training images are done.

Story:
Linus seemed to handle it all perfectly well; the long travel, the new place that met him when we arrived, and not to mention all the new horses. He was being his usual self, greeting everyone that cared to give him the tiniest bit of attention with a low, friendly neigh.
At the day of the show, I felt nervous, but Linus quickly gave me my confidence back when I entered the guest stables where he had spent the night. His curious, blue glance recognized me as I made my way to his door, and he nodded eagerly while letting out an excited but friendly greeting. It was always so heart-warming to experience the happiness he expressed when we re-united in the mornings after a night apart. I fed him breakfast, which he ate while he watched the other contestants grooming and feeding their horses, and got started on cleaning him. I wanted to make sure he was looking as good as possible for the arena. Fortunately, he is not the kind to roll around in the dirt much. After carefully brushing every spot of his body, I took a few steps backwards and admired his well-shaped figure. His jaws worked hard on a mouthful of hay. How could the judges not like him, with his great charm and lively gait? All of my uncertainty and worries were quickly being replaced with eagerness. I could not hide my smile as I rushed back and forth, getting everything ready for our great premiere.
